Our Humble Beginning
Expedition Motor Homes, Inc. has always been a family. In 1999, Brent & Martin, two close family friends, joined their talents, their last $300 combined, and a lot of faith to create what came to be their “Big Break”.
A timely offer from Brent’s brother, lending 2 motor homes for a few months to rent to family and friends, brought us the time to learn about the RV industry and decide to partner as Calabasas’ first, and only, RV rental company. Instead of buying an unaffordable and expensive franchise, Brent and Martin built their new venture on honest hard work, keeping promises and treating everyone as one of the family. The two borrowed motor homes were eventually replaced with one brand new Gulf Stream Cavalier, purchased by another family member who partnered with Expedition Motor Homes. Another family friend from church rented us the location we still work from.
Expedition Motor Homes, Inc. grew slowly but surely, growing the fleet and earning loyal customers we call friends as the core of this exciting venture.
Brent retired in 2007, and Martin continued to manage and grow the company.
In 2010 Expedition expanded into Orange County, purchasing 1st Choice RV, another highly regarded RV rental company. Today Martin teaches others to start and operate RV rental companies as an instructor at the annual RV Rental School. Expedition Motor Homes and 1st Choice RV are acknowledged industry leaders, having managed over 400 motor homes and counting 9834 families on over 13,000 trips as “one of the family”. We are paying it forward by continuing to generously support local charities, school fund raisers and other meaningful programs which contribute to improving people’s lives and protecting the environment.

Our fleet consists of the ultimate in luxury 40′ Diesel Pushers to the nice and comfortable 22′ Class C RV. Each one is given special attention before and after each trip to keep them in tip-top shape.
